LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Christy Sports today announced a partnership with Norwest Equity Partners (“NEP”) to assist in the continued growth of the premier specialty ski and snowboard retailer in the Rocky Mountain region. The transaction closed October 27, 2015; financial terms were not disclosed.
Since 1958, Christy Sports has been an established fixture in the snow sports community in Colorado and Utah. Still a family based business today with over 40 stores, the foundation of its success is exceeding customer expectations through outstanding service, product knowledge and high quality brands. Over the years, Christy Sports has added an outdoor furniture offering during the summer to supplement its winter business, including an e-commerce platform with an industry leading advanced rental reservation system and Door 2 Door, its rental equipment delivery division.
