Colorado based Christy Sports LLC, announced today the opening of a Christy Sports full service bike shop in West Vail, Colorado. The Store is currently open and provides complete bicycle retail, rental and repair services.
The 15,000 square foot space, which Christy Sports took over from The Sports Authority last fall, is located at 2161 N Frontage Road off interstate 70 at the West Vail exit. The store is open daily from 10:00am-6:00pm and operates near other amenities in the center of the Vail Valley, like McDonald’s, Vail Ale House and Safeway.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide the local Vail Community with the experience and selection of a full service bike shop”, said Jeff Evans, Vail Valley regional manager for Christy Sports. “I’m proud to say that we can provide our customers the highest range of rental and retail bikes available from Vail Pass all the way up to Eagle.”
The new shop is a certified Treck and Scott dealer with front, full and plus size mountain bikes, in addition to road and bike path bikes. The expert staff is also available to assist with special bike orders. The retail bike offering is complemented with a full selection of clothing, shoes, helmets and accessories.
Mountain, road and bike path rental bikes for kids and adults are available for hourly, half, full, 24-hour turnaround on basic tuning services. “We know how incredibly important it is to have the best mechanic working on your bike”, said Jay Restrepo, manager of the West Vail store. “Our lead mechanic Mark Lanser is certified by the Barnett Bicycle Institute, ensuring each one of our customers is getting the highest level of quality and service.”
This summer, the Vail Village Christy Sports store will also offer rental bikes with slope side access. The Avon Christy Sports will be a patio furniture showroom. After the summer season, all three stores will resume serving snow sports enthusiasts as specialty ski and snowboard shops.
